This year the Beaufort County Education Foundation received 26 PIE grant applications from teachers throughout the county. Grants were reviewed based on creativity, benefit to students, cost effectiveness, critical need, and collaboration by a committee. The Beaufort County Education Foundation awarded $6,500 in grants to 14 Beaufort County Teachers. Grants were awarded for math applications, science inquiry, project based learning, high interest nonfiction, outdoor activities, STEM, and the arts.
