Hello,

My name is Grant Jenkins and this will be my third year at Chowonity Middle School and 8th year overall for Beaufort County Schools. I received my Bachelors in history and Masters in secondary education from SUNY NEW PALTZ in New York. This year I will be teaching 7th grade social studies which covers world history from the time of the Renaissance until the modern day.  This year is truly exciting because it will be the first year in which our students will have social studies for the entire year as opposed to one semester.  Understanding the past has become more important than ever and a full year will allow us to truly explore what those in the past have done and how to best learn what and what not to do.
