How to Interact with Someone who has Autism -Use a calm voice -Give an adequate amount of time for child to respond -Give multiple means of communication (verbal, pictures, choices) -Try to stay within the same routine the child is familiar with -Use pictures or visual representation with a task - Try and avoid sarcasm or figurative language
