Ms. Rosalyn Grimes

I am a native of Aurora, North Carolina and have served in my community as an educator for the past 15 years. I have served as a health instructor for East Carolina University, Craven Community College and Pamlico Community College. I was hired by Beaufort County Schools in 2011 and has served as a health and physical education teacher, science teacher, coach and currently serves as an Assistant Principal.

I was a graduate of Southside High School. While at Southside, I was a member of the volleyball team, basketball team, softball team and track team. After high school, I continued my education at East Carolina University, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Health Education and Promotion with a concentration in Community Health. Later, I attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington to obtain my certificate in School Administration.

I enjoy spending time with my family and daughter, Jordan. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, shopping for shoes, eating at new places and making memories that will last forever!

At an early age, I found a passion for people, education, and sports and these passions have continued to be my daily driving force. I believe that life has to be taken first by the second, then by the minute, followed by the hour and continued through the day, and eventually you should be able to look back and see where you have made at least one impact on the world before your final journey has been completed!

I am excited to be a part of the CMS Indian Tribe and I look forward to an amazing year of growing and learning!  Go Indians!
