My name is Susan Tankard. I have taught at Bath Elementary School since the Fall of 1998. This will be my 34th year of teaching school.  I have taught both kindergarten and second grade.  I live in Bath and enjoy being on the water, reading and sewing. I am married to Robert. We have two children, Madison and Hayden.  Madison is a mechanical engineer at Cherry Point.  Hayden is a Lieutenant in the US Army.  He is now serving in the at Fort Bragg.  I like to spend time with my chocolate labs, Gabby and Chloe. During my breaks from school, I like to read, sew and boat around the Pamilico River.  I enjoy teaching school and helping students to make connections with their learning.
