Hello, my name is Mr. Olivares (Mr. O) and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Eastern Elementary School.  I was born and raised in California where I attended the University of California, Riverside.  Fourteen years ago, I moved to Washington, NC and transferred to East Carolina University.  I graduated in May of 2011 and received my B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies.  I love working with students because I am able to watch them learn and grow.

I am very excited to start this new school year and meet all of you.  I have many creative and fun ideas that will make this year very exciting for all of us.  I love reading, writing and especially math; I hope that my students will enjoy reading, writing and math as much as I do. 

PARENTS are an important part of the classroom community, therefore I encourage you to stop by Room 64 and visit our wonderful learning environment.

Hola, mi nombre es Sr. Olivares (Sr. O) y soy maestro de Kinder en Eastern Elementary School. Nací y crecí en California, donde asistí a la Universidad de California en Riverside. Hace catorce años me mudé a Washington, Carolina del Norte y me traslade a la Universidad de East Carolina. Me gradué en mayo de 2011 y recibí mi B.S. en Educación Primaria en la concentración de estudios sociales.  Me encanta trabajar con los estudiantes porque puedo verlos aprender y crecer.

Estoy muy emocionado de empezar este nuevo año escolar y conocer a  todos ustedes. Tengo muchas ideas creativas y divertidas que harán este año muy emocionante para todos nosotros. Me encanta leer, escribir y matemáticas, espero que mis alumnos disfruten de la lectura, la escritura y matemáticas tanto como yo.
