I am a native of Chocowinity where I also received my elementary and high school education.  After receiving my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, I pursued higher education at East Carolina University where I received my BS degree in Family and Community Studies with a concentration in Child Development and Family Relations.  For many years, I applied Montessori methods to fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade students.  I am happy to enrich the lives of first-graders again this year.

I am a wife, a mother of three girls, and a grandmother to a baby girl.  I am passionate about educating children. Enhancing the lives of all students drives my will to learn with them each and every day.
