My name is Melanie Simmons and I have been teaching for 32 years. I teach Advanced Math 7, Math 1 and an AIG Enrichment Program for 4-6. I also coach Envirothon, the Math team and I am the Beta Club Sponsor for NES. I am an ECU Graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Middle School Math and Science and I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Math. I have 3 children - Will, Adam and Katherine, 2 grandchildren - Carter and Jovi, and 1 sweet dog - Bailey. In my spare time, I run dirt bike races for the CCMX series, go to the beach, read and play games on my phone.
