I am excited to be joining the Southside Faculty! I have been an educator for 20 years and have taught in all grade levels. I started my teaching career in a high school setting and am looking forward to this transition into Family and Consumer Science. 

About Me: I live in Washington with my husband, my two kids, and two dogs (Pixie and Cody). Two years ago, we left our home in Dunedin, Florida ( go Bucs!) and moved to North Carolina to be closer to our family. We really love our new small town. I graduated from Brevard College with a BA in Music, Florida State University with a Master of Music Education, and am currently writing my dissertation for my EdD, Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I hope to graduate this fall- look out world Dr. Walters is on the way!
