I am thrilled to be back home at Eastern as a teacher assistant! I will be working with Ms Vanderstelt in kindergarten this year.

I grew up in Raleigh and graduated from NC State with a BS in Secondary Science Education and a BS in Biological Sciences. After college, I taught high school science and worked in the Duke molecular genetics lab.  My husband and I moved to Washington 11 years ago with our three children, and I have been working with young children in varying roles since then!

I have a passion for STEM education, but my favorite part of teaching is helping children discover the joy of reading! I'm looking forward to being a part of the EES family and meeting all the bright scholars!
