Welcome to Mrs. Darling’s 4th and 5th grade computer lab resource class. Your child comes to the computer lab once a week for 60 minutes. 4th grade students will participate in “coding” and hands-on activities designed to teach them problem solving and to sharpen their critical thinking skills using computers. 5th grade students will be working on computer skills to prepare them for middle and high school, including typing and more advanced Google applications. This is my first full year at JSS after coming onboard in January of last school year. I previously worked in Wake County Schools in Raleigh for 6 years. My goal is to provide our students a safe and engaging classroom while exposing them to technology and providing them with the foundations to set them up for success for the rest of their academic career.
