My name is Erin Tyson, and I am the ELA Instructional Coach at John Small School. I am a graduate of Barton College and a current student in the MSA program at East Carolina University. Prior to becoming an ELA coach, I was a fourth and fifth-grade teacher at JSS and mainly taught in an ELA classroom. My husband and I are both in education, and we have two boys who are students in BCS. I enjoy spending time at the beach, but you will see me at many athletic events due to my sons being involved in all types of sports! I am excited to start my 18th year in education and look forward to all of the exciting opportunities that teachers and students will experience this year at John Small!
