Welcome to Washington High School!

My name is Karolyn Leavelle and I have the privilege of serving as school counselor for students with last names A - G.  

I have been working with kids and families in different capacities for over 20 years.  I firmly believe that every student's journey is uniquely their own and am passionate about empowering every student to reach their individual goals and dreams.  

To me, the most important aspect of my role as school counselor at Washington High School is that I am here to serve you.  Whether it is academic concerns, future planning, emotional wellness or any myriad of other challenges facing our students today, I am here to help if you let me.  Please, reach out with any questions or concerns you have.   If I do not have the answer, I am committed to connecting you with someone that does!

In addition to school counseling, I am also the point of contact for the following programs should you have questions:  AP Program (Advanced Placement), Homeless / McKinney Vento, Homebound and 504 plans.
