Student Enrollment

Welcome to Beaufort County Schools!

We are thrilled to welcome you and your family to our district. To get your child started, please complete the enrollment process using our online registration system.

How to Register

  1. Online Application: Streamline your registration by adding all children in your household to the same digital application.

  2. Save Your Number: Be sure to write down your Online Registration Application Number to reference when speaking with school staff.

  3. School Visit: After submitting the online forms, visit your child's school to finalize the enrollment so they can begin classes.

**Kindergarten Eligibility: Children must be five years old on or before August 31 of the current school year to enroll.**

Required Documentation

You may upload these documents directly to the online portal or bring physical copies to the school office:

  • Identification: Valid photo ID or driver’s license of the legal guardian.

  • Proof of Age: Certified copy of the child’s birth certificate.

  • Proof of Residence (Select Two):

    • Mortgage document, property deed, or residential lease showing the street address.

    • Current utility bill (electric, gas, water, or cable) in the parent/guardian's name.

  • Legal & Academic Records:

    • Legal custody papers (if applicable).

    • Current report card or high school transcript.

    • Withdrawal form from the previous school.

    • Homeschool documentation (if applicable).

  • Health Records:

    • Immunization records.

    • NC Health Assessment (Required for Kindergarten and first-time enrollees; forms are available on the district website).

Set Up Your Beaufort County Parent Portal Account

The Parent Portal is your all-in-one tool for tracking your student’s academic journey. Use it to access real-time grades, attendance, transcripts, test scores, and transportation details. You can also complete "Online Registration" for new students and perform required annual account updates.

Follow these steps to register:

  1. Find Your Student: Visit the Self-Service Registration page, select Beaufort County Schools from the dropdown menu, and enter your child’s Student ID, Name, and Date of Birth. Click Find Student.

  2. Verify Your Identity: Select your Parent/Guardian profile and choose whether to receive your unique Activation Key via email or text.

  3. Activate Your Account: Copy the Activation Key from your message, then go to the Parent Portal. Click on New User?, paste your key, and click Submit.

  4. Create Your Login: Choose a username and a strong password (at least 6 characters, including letters and numbers). Confirm your password and click Create Account.
