I am Dr. Patricia Horton-Albritton. This is my 2nd year at (SWS). I count it an honor to be leading the Trojan family. I have been an educator for over 25 years. I have worked with students from birth to 12th grade. I believe all students can learn and we never stop learning, even as adults.

I am a product of Beaufort County Schools. I am a proud graduate of Washington High School. Upon graduating high school, I enrolled in Beaufort County Community College and obtained an Associate in Early Childhood Education. While enrolled at the community college, I taught at Washington Head Start and operated a home daycare. Later, I enrolled at East Carolina University and earned my teaching degree. I was an Exceptional Children's teacher at Washington High School before earning my Master's in School Administration from Cambridge College. I worked as an Assistant Principal for nine years before becoming the Principal at SWS. On May 6, 2022, I proudly earned my Doctoral Degree from Gardner Webb University.

As an Educator and Principal, I believe that I can encourage students to become excited about learning. My encouragement will then inspire students to be intrinsically self-motivated, and then learning can take place. I know that the faculty and staff want to see our scholars excel. As a school, we aim to ensure that all of our scholars strive to reach their highest potential.
