Mr. Raul Olivares Jr.

Hello Eastern Elementary School Families,
 
I would like to welcome you to the EES Family. I am so excited for the 2024-2025 school year and being able to get to meet all of our scholars and their families and serve you as an Assistant Principal.  My name is Mr. Olivares (Mr. O).  I was born and raised in California, where I attended the University of California, Riverside.  Sixteen years ago, I moved to Washington, NC and transferred to East Carolina University.  I graduated in May of 2011 and received my B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies.  I graduated in May of 2024 with my Masters in School Administration and Curriculum & Instruction Specialist.
 
I am entering my fourteenth year in education.  I have taught 4th and 5th grade at John Small School and kindergarten here at Eastern Elementary School.  I love working with students because I am able to watch them learn and grow.

Me gustaría darles la bienvenida a la familia EES, estoy muy emocionado de empezar este nuevo año escolar 2023-2024 y poder conocer a todos nuestros estudiantes y sus familias y servirles como subdirector. Mi nombre es Sr. Olivares (Sr. O). Nací y crecí en California, donde asistí a la Universidad de California, Riverside. Hace dieciséis años, me mudé a Washington, NC y me trasladé a la Universidad de East Carolina. Me gradué en mayo de 2011 y recibí mi B.S. en Educación Primaria con concentración en Estudios Sociales. Me gradué en mayo de 2024 con mi Maestría en Administración Escolar y Especialista en Currículo e Instrucción.
 
Estoy entrando en mi decimocuarta año en educación. He enseñado 4º y 5º grado en la Escuela John Small y kinder aquí en la Escuela Primaria Eastern. Me encanta trabajar con estudiantes porque puedo verlos aprender y crecer.
