Hi. My name is Melissa Carpenter, and I am married to my wonderful husband, Trent. I have two daughters, Sydney and Mariah. I will have two granddaughters, Lily and Josie, right now and a grandson, Archie, due in September. I've been a Beaufort County resident since 1995, after moving from Illinois.  About seven years after relocating, I obtained my AAS in Early Childhood Teacher Assistant Degree from BCCC. The upcoming 2025-2026 school year will be my 21st year at Eastern Elementary. I just spent my 19th school year in Pre-K. I love seeing the growth in our scholars and being a part of our close-knit Pre-K family.
