My name is Sallie Dixon and an Exceptional Children's teacher at Southside High School. I am a native of Beaufort County and I have worked with high school students here for the past ten years. I believe that teaching is the best job in the world! I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Special Education k-12 with a minor in Psychology.

I am married to my husband, Chris, and together we also own and operate a heavy equipment, land clearing, and grading company. I have two sons, Drew and Will. They are both ECU Pirate Alumni as well. Drew lives in Wilmington and works for a logistics company there and Will has just started graduate school at Western Carolina University where he is studying Ecology. 

I am lucky to have such an amazing family at home as well as here at Southside! Go Seahawks!
