I was born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC. I moved to Washington, NC after graduating from East Carolina University. I reside in Washington with my husband, Kyle, son Parker, and our doodle, Charlie. 

I am the Health Science Teacher here at Southside High School. I began my teaching career here at Southside in 2017. Prior to teaching, I worked as a Cardiac and Pulmonary Registered Nurse and also did Mental Health Case Management. I currently teach Foundations of Health Science, Health Science I & II, and Nursing Fundamentals. Nursing Fundamental is one of my favorite classes to teach.
