Foundations of Math Teacher
I have been teaching math for over 35 years. After graduating from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education, I taught for 17 years in Wilson County followed by 18 years in Beaufort County at Southside High School before I retired in June of 2021 from Beaufort County Schools. I’m returning to Southside part-time this year to continue to work with students on their math endeavors and to help reduce class size.
I live in Washington with my husband, Bill, and our 2 cats, Ollie and Anastasia.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have about your student’s progress in Foundations of Math 1. Due to my part-time status, I’m only available at Southside from 8:00 am - 10:00 am daily. The best way to contact me is by email. If you are unable to email me, call the school (252) 940-1881 and leave a voicemail for me at extension 62938. I will return your call as soon as I can (usually within 24 hours).
 
Learning Management System: Google Classroom will be used.  Please email me to be given access.  Once you have access, you will be able to see the daily notes, lesson videos, classwork, and homework assignments.
 
Tutoring: Due to my part-time status, tutoring will be available during the Flex Period on Mondays.  Additional tutoring may be available through the Math Department after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
