Hello.  I am currently entering my 15th year of teaching and my 5th year at Southside High School.  As a native of Washington County and a former FFA member myself, I am dedicated to advocating for agriculture and the future of our state's agriculture.  I am dedicated to the organization of FFA and give a lot of my outside time to the organization and the local school Chapter. I am a mother of two children who are also a part of BCS schools.  I studied Exceptional Children's Education and graduated from ECU in 2008 with a degree in the General and Adaptive Curriculums.  I returned to school in 2010 and graduated from North Carolina A & T in 2012 with a Master's in Agricultural Education.  I also have a dance degree from ECU.  I have received credentials in NCCER, Proper Care and Management of Animals, Hunter Safety Educator, Range Safety Officer, Pork Quality Assurance, and Beef Quality Assurance.
