Welcome to my classroom! I am a Beaufort County native, born and raised here in the area. I reside in Bath with my husband and daughter, with our grown and flown sons nearby. I graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill with a BS in Public Health and then returned closer to home to earn a MS in Child Development and Family Relations. I served as an adjunct instructor for several local community colleges and am an adjunct instructor for University of Mount Oilve. I came to NHS in 2012 and have taught a variety of courses throughout my tenure here, including Foods and Nutrition 1 and 2; Teen Living; Parenting and Child Development; Principles of Family and Human Services; and Counseling and Mental Health 1 & 2.

With the renovation of our old labs, we are excited to bring more hands-on learning experiences to prepare our students for professional careers in the hospitality industry.
