A note from Mrs. Schulte...

Casey Schulte is  a 2024-2025 Kenan Fellow and the 2023 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Northeast Region Teacher of the Year. She is a High School Biology Teacher for Beaufort County Schools. She has also had the privilege of working as a Science Educator in both Wake and Granville Counties. Casey grew up in Bath, North Carolina and is a product of Beaufort County Schools. She attended both Bath Elementary and Northside High School during her academic career.

She earned both a Biology and Science Education Bachelor's Degree, and a Master's Degree in Science Education from North Carolina State University. As the Northeast Region Teacher of the Year, Casey serves on various committees on both the Regional and State Level. She is passionate about BT Support, Recruitment and Retention of Diverse Educators, Student Voice and Choice in the Classroom, and STEM Education in the classroom.

She has been married since 2014 and is the proud mother of two wonderful boys who are students in NC public schools. She enjoys gardening, baking, and reading all of the books she can get her hands on. She utilizes social media to share teaching ideas and strategies that work in the modern classroom.

Mrs. Schulte will be available for tutoring on Thursdays after school until 4:30. Please let Mrs. Schulte know you plan on staying, so she knows how to prepare material to best help you. If you have any other days that you would like to stay, please email Mrs. Schulte to schedule a time that best works for you both.
