My name is Julie Harper. I am so excited to be your Assistant Principal! I have 23 years in education. I spent 17 years teaching elementary school! The last five years I have been an administrator. My experiences in the classroom come from Eastern NC and a couple of years in Maryland. I believe that every child deserves a top-notch education in a loving, supportive environment! I want to help each of our students maximize their potential!! Together, with our students’ families, we can make that happen! I am honored to be here and serving our community!

I am an Eastern North Carolina native, growing up in Pamlico County. I attended ECU for my undergraduate degree and am a Pirate at heart! I earned my Master’s in a different “purple and gold” environment through WGU in 2017. I moved to Washington in 2020 and have enjoyed every second of being here. I have one son, who attends Washington High School, and one daughter, who is a fifth grader here at Bath!  In my spare time, you will probably find me at a ballpark watching our children play, working in my flower beds, reading a book, being near the water, or playing with our two dogs!
