Welcome 4th Graders and Parents, 

My name is Jessica Hux. I have been an educator for the past 23 years. During those years, I have taught third, fourth, fifth grade, and special education. I am so excited to teach 4th grade math. 

This year we will build upon your knowledge of the four math operations, explore fractions, decimals, data collection, metric measurement, and attributes of polygons. Learning through real-world applications and word problems will be our focus. 

Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday and is always due the following day. Students will create an interactive notebook during our class lessons that will serve as a textbook and study guide throughout the year. This notebook will contain sample problems and strategies to help you learn math concepts. Refer to this notebook when you have questions.  Let’s get busy problem solving!!!
