My name is Melissa Clinkscales, and I am a second grade teacher here at Bath Elementary School. I have been teaching in the Beaufort County School System since 2007. My family and I moved back to Beaufort County in 2007 after living in Raleigh for several years. While in Raleigh, I attended Meredith College and received a Bachelor of Science in Child Development as well as my Elementary Education Teaching Licensure. I worked in the Wake County Public School System for five years, where I taught first grade. After moving back to Beaufort County, I taught at Chocowinity Primary School for six years, teaching both third and first grade. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach at Bath, where I also attended!

I now live in Bath with my husband, Mark, and our two sons, Carson and Reed. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and reading. I also love spending time traveling to the beach or the mountains!
