I am originally from Greenville, NC (literally within a bike ride to Dowdy Ficklen Stadium) where I graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Child Development Family Relations and obtained my Child Life Therapist Certification.  I returned to ECU to pursue my life-long dream of becoming an educator and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching.  I spent my first six years as a fourth grade ELA / Social Studies teacher in Pitt County prior to joining Northeast.  I've taught fifth grade math, as well as EC resource.  I am extremely blessed that life led me to Northeast. Our school truly feels like home and we have the best students and staff!

I am excited to continue serving as our school's K-5 ELA Coach this year, and I find a lot of joy in seeing the success of our students and teachers!
