I have been teaching for 21 years. Before I became a teacher, I worked at the Vernon James Research Center in Roper, NC. My teaching career began in 2001 at Jamesville. From there I went to Washington High School, and later Bear Grass. When I came to Northeast Elementary I came home.
I am a graduate of East Carolina University (GO PIRATES!). As a science lover, I earned a biology degree with a concentration in biotechnology.
My interests include scroll sawing, painting and reading. I love most animals, (especially frogs) and coffee is never far away.
