From the time I was a child, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in Virginia Beach. I went to Radford University and obtained my teaching degree. Shortly after graduating, I met my husband Doug, and we moved to North Carolina. After nearly 10 years of marriage, we had a son named Jon Luc. 

I have taught for 13 years in NC Public Schools and 6 years at Washington Montessori. I am certified in the areas of Elementary Education, Academically Gifted, Exceptional Children, and Health/PE. I obtained my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Reading. 

I love to travel, try new foods, and spend time with my pets and my family.

I am thrilled to be part of the Northeast Elementary team, and I look forward to helping my students reach their full potential.
