Student Services Advisory Council
-
The SHS Student Services Advisory Council is comprised of students, parents, administrators, teachers, and community members. The Student Services Advisory Council plays a crucial role in the planning and delivery of services the department provides. The Advisory Council meets two times per year (once in the fall and once in the spring).
The mission of this Council, in alignment with the Student Services Department's mission, is to provide feedback and give ideas on how the department can better serve students. It also serves as an outlet for SHS School Counselors to advocate for the school counseling profession. Participants are asked to serve for one year but can serve longer if they desire. If you would like to serve on this council, please contact Dr. Jennifer Burruss at 940-1881 or at jburruss@beaufort.k12.nc.us for more information.
