Miss Erica Gurkin
Hey! I am Erica Gurkin!
I’m excited about getting to know and teach your child this year! I received my health and physical education degree from ECU. Following graduation, I began teaching 6th grade math. This is my 3rd year of teaching 6th grade math and my 2nd year at PS Jones. Teaching and building relationships with my students is something that truly excites me! I coach both Volleyball and Softball here at PSJ. There is always an opportunity to become active at our school outside of the classroom!
I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family. Working out and training dogs is where you can find me outside of the school day.
I strive to make our classroom a positive and upbeat place for students to grow and learn! I look forward to a fun-packed year in 6th grade.
