Welcome!  My name is Veronica Wilder and I am super excited about the 2024-25 school year!  I am delighted to teach my favorite subject, Mathematics, to 7th graders for this school year.   This school year will be my twenty-fourth year teaching and my twenty-second year at P. S. Jones Middle School.  I graduated in 1995 from Elizabeth State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.   In 2001, I decided to teach middle school and went to East Carolina University to further my education in Middle Grades Math Education.    I received my Middle School Certification in 2003.   In 2009, I returned to East Carolina University and received my Masters of Art Degree in Secondary Math Education. 

I have a true passion for working with students.    As an educator, I want to make a difference in education and assist students in all areas of their development, including academic and social growth. 

I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. 

I look forward to working together with you as partners in your scholar's education for a rewarding year in middle school.
