to meet all students’ educational and social-emotional needs within a safe, caring, and trusting

Our vision for Chocowinity Primary School is to be the school of choice for parents, students, and
educators in Beaufort County.

CPS Values
At Chocowinity Primary School (CPS) we provide a sense of “family” within a safe environment
where the diverse needs of all students are met in order to excel academically. When you walk
into our building, the positive climate and culture embedded in the school is felt by students,
families, educators, and visitors. As the foundation for student motivation and success, we work
to ensure students, parents, and family members feel supported and valued as they embark on
the academic journey with their scholar. It is essential to provide students with a set of durable
skills to ensure success by the end of their K-12 career. Teaching students adaptability,
communication, collaboration, critical thinking, empathy, learner’s mindset, and personal
responsibility will ensure they enroll, enlist, or are employable as they become functioning
citizens in today’s society.
