My name is Katherine Davis, and I'm thrilled to be here at CPS for another year! I live in Washington with my husband, Dixon, and my two children, Lilly Ann (19) and Elanor (16). Lilly Ann will begin her second year at East Carolina University. Elanor will be a junior at Southside High School. I love spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, reading, and shopping. Chocolate chip cookies and any kind of chocolate candy with peanut butter are my favorite snacks.

I received a BS in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in 2002. My teaching career began in 2002 in Martin County at EJ Hayes. During my five years there, I taught third grade. After staying at home for a while with my children, I joined CPS in 2010. This will be my sixteenth year at CPS. I taught third grade for nine years and fourth grade for six years. I am now a second grade teacher for the first time ever! 

I look forward to working with my new students and parents this upcoming year. Together we will make this the best school year ever!
