Teaching is my absolute passion and I wouldn't want to do it anywhere other than CPS! This is my 10th year teaching 3rd grade, which I absolutely love. I grew up in Washington, North Carolina and moved back after graduating from college and accepting my position at CPS. I graduated from East Carolina University as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow in May 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I interned at CPS in 2nd grade during my senior year at ECU and was offered a 3rd grade teaching position after graduating. I proudly represent the house of ALTRUISMO at CPS! 

My approach towards teaching involves centering the classroom around my students and their individual needs, while also setting high expectations for all students and inspiring them to exceed those expectations. My goal is to create a classroom where all of my students feel comfortable and confident, a classroom where students are highly engaged and discover a sense of leadership for their own learning. My class motto is "we do hard things" and I firmly stand behind that phrase!
