My name is Emily Houston and I am one of the Pre-K teachers here at Chocowinity Primary School. 2024-2025 will be my 16th year teaching. I live in Washington with my husband and our 10-year-old daughter and our 8 month old son. Working with children has always been my passion. When it came time to pick a career for college, there was no hesitation that education would be my future! I attended ECU and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education as well as a Birth-Kindergarten teaching license. Every year gets better and better as I learn new things and new ideas to incorporate with a new group of students. Once you are one of my students, you will forever stay one of "my" students. My favorite part of teaching is the life-long relationships that you build, establish, and sustain with children!
